The Chancellor of the Exchequer has today, by way of the Budget, announced the extension of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) to 30 September 2021. It was previously due to end on 30 April 2021. Flexible furlough also continues as an option for employers.

In addition, the Chancellor pledged that he would double the incentive payments (to £3,000) given to businesses for hiring new apprentices of any age.
