We’re proud of our amazing team at ESPHR and wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look into each one of our colleagues. Every month, we’re going to be ‘introducing’ you to one of them so you can find out more about their role, what they love most about it, and why ESPHR is making such a difference in the world of employee relations…

Tell us a little bit more about what you do at ESPHR

I manage business operations, which means my responsibilities are widely varied. I can be managing office contracts or subscriptions and renewals with service providers one minute and providing support to the customer-facing team the next.

I also provide support with claims and account management, various financial tasks, reporting and supervision. It’s safe to say that no two days are the same!

Outline your background prior to joining the team?

I come from a background in law and previously worked in criminal legal aid – in Liverpool – before moving to the south of England in 2007. After a year of managing a designer clothes shop in Guildford, I found myself moving into business operations with ESPHR in 2008, as I really enjoyed being at the centre of a company and having quite a varied role.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

The variety and the lovely people I get to work with – both in terms of colleagues and customers.

What do you think ESPHR offers, that no other business in the industry does?

Innovation teamed with exceptional customer service, quality and good value!

What’s your ‘dream’ customer and why?

If I had to pick one dream customer, it would be someone like Secret Escapes. I spend a lot of time scrolling through their many holiday deals, dreaming of sitting on ‘that beach’, so to have such an exciting company as a customer would be fantastic. They seem like a like-minded, forward-thinking brand which embraces technology – and they might even let us have a discount code too!

Describe ESPHR in one word

Innovative.

What is the one thing that you’d want your customers to know you for?

Exceptional customer service.

What would you like to achieve over the next 12 months – at ESPHR and individually?

I would like ESPHR to be more widely recognised as the ‘go-to premium brand’ within our sector. And personally, to further improve efficiency so we can focus on what we do best!

Outside of work, what do you like doing?

Socialising and spending quality time with a whirlwind of a one-year-old.
